Location

Toronto, ON

Focus

Located on the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) campus, the Queen West Affordable Housing project is an eight-storey mixed-use building with 179 residential units (35 bachelor, 65 one-bedroom, 64 two-bedroom, 15 three-bedroom) and 21,000 sf of at-grade retail.

The project was part of the first phase of a 10-year, three-phase redevelopment plan. CAMH required mixed-use space, including the co-creation of residential, ground-retail, and office spaces.

The project was structured as a 50-year ground lease with a focus on providing a structure that takes the healthcare of residents into account.
