The Shenkman Arts Centre, the hub of the Orleans Town Centre, was officially opened on June 18, 2009 and has quickly become one of the pre-eminent centres for the arts in the Ottawa region. The Arts Centre opened on time and on budget, serving to underline the benefits of a successful public private partnership

The Arts Centre features the Harold Shenkman Hall, a 505 seat fully serviced performance venue and the 100 seat Black Box Theatre. It houses numerous resident artistic partners such as the Arts Ottawa East, Gloucester Pottery School, Mouvement d'implication francophone d'Orléans, Orleans Young Players Theatre School, and the Ottawa Scool of Art Orleans campus, as well as several galleries and public art installations.
