| In June 2011 Forum and its co-development partner, Brookfield Financial, reached Financial Close on the Surrey Pretrial Services Centre Expansion Project (SPSCEP) project, a 180-cell high-security pretrial corrections facility located in Surrey, British Columbia. The project was procured by Partnerships British Columbia, on behalf of the Minister of Citizens Services, through the province’s Public Private Partnership procurement process. The project is being
delivered as a design-build-finance-maintain project with Forum and Brookfield Financial as co-developers, PCL Constructors as design-builder, Honeywell as Facility Manager and DGBK Architects as the lead designer.
Construction of the SPSCEP is scheduled to be completed by late 2013 and the 30 year concession will extend to 2043.
